Philodendron domesticum variegata
The Philodendron domesticum variegata is a climbing philodendron with eye-catching variegated leaves. Its large, glossy leaves are spade-shaped, featuring splashes and blocked bright green and yellow areas. These plants will need to be provided with bright, indirect light. They are fast growers, especially when given a moss pole or support to climb. The leaves can reach up to 56 cm in length and 23 cm in width once fully mature. Overall, the Philodendron domesticum variegata is a true collector’s plant that is easy to care for. Being higher variegated plants, these may require a grow light setup or a brighter indirect light environment. Propagated via cutting from our mother plant.

Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Most philodendrons tolerate lower light conditions but grow best in consistent, filtered light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
Water: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry out before watering. Water thoroughly, ensuring the pot has good drainage. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18–26°C. Protect the plant from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity: Prefers humidity levels above 50%. Higher humidity encourages lush growth, but philodendrons adapt well to average household conditions.

Fertiliser: Feed during the growing season (spring and summer) with Growth Technology Foliage Focus at the recommended strength. Reduce fertilisation frequency during dormancy.

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Saturday will be sent the following week.
We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.
We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.
Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.
