FAQ's

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Sunday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 2 days with clear photos so we can assess your claim.

Once plants leave our care, Chalet Boutique is not responsible for how they are handled in transit.

Alocasia Care

Light
Bright filtered light works well. Soft morning sun is fine. Protect the leaves from strong afternoon sun since they scorch quickly.

Water
Keep the mix lightly moist through active growth. Let the top layer dry a touch before the next drink. Hold back a little in winter but don’t let the pot dry out completely.

Temperature
Warm to intermediate conditions suit them. They like steady warmth and will sulk if nights get too cold.

Fertiliser
Feed through spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Growth Technology Foliage Focus is perfect.

Position
Use a chunky, free draining aroid mix with good airflow around the leaves. Keep them away from cold drafts and give them space to grow upright.

Unless stated, plants are shipped in their nursery pots, as shown in the photos.

Minor blemishes or imperfections on foliage are normal and do not affect plant health. Each plant is unique, so size, colour, and shape may vary slightly.

Please choose carefully — some plants may be toxic to people or pets if ingested.
