Description

Compact elephant ear with strong yellow variegation through each leaf. Growth is upright and tidy, forming thick glossy leaves that fan out from a short trunk base. The variegation can appear marbled, streaked, or sectioned with pale green and deep golden tones, often shifting as the plant matures. New leaves unfurl with a soft lime wash that deepens as they harden. Each plant is unique with its own variegation pattern. Suited to bright filtered light, warmth, and moderate humidity.

Shipping

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Saturday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.

Returns

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 2 days with clear photos so we can assess your claim.

Care Guide

Cymbidium Care

Light: Bright, filtered light. Morning sun or dappled light is ideal. Protect from harsh afternoon sun.

Water: Keep evenly moist through active growth, letting the top layer of mix dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in winter but don’t allow the mix to dry out completely.

Temperature: Cool to intermediate conditions suit best, with cooler nights encouraging flower spikes.

Fertiliser: Feed regularly during growth with a balanced orchid fertiliser such as Growth Technology Orchid Focus.

Position: Use a free-draining orchid mix and provide good air movement around the leaves.

Unless stated, plants are shipped in their nursery pots, as shown in the photos.

Minor blemishes or imperfections on foliage are normal and do not affect plant health. Each plant is unique, so size, colour, and shape may vary slightly.
