FAQ's

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Saturday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 2 days with clear photos so we can assess your claim.

Once plants leave our care, Chalet Boutique is not responsible for how they are handled in transit.

Light
Tolerates low to bright, indirect light. Bright indirect light encourages faster growth, though ZZ Plants adapt well to low light spaces. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.

Water
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. ZZ Plants store moisture in their rhizomes and are highly drought tolerant. Water sparingly, especially in cooler months. Avoid water sitting in the base of the pot.

Temperature
Maintain temperatures between 18–27°C. ZZ Plants prefer consistent warmth and should be protected from cold drafts or frost.

Humidity
Adaptable to typical household humidity levels. Does not require extra humidity but will tolerate it if provided.

Medium
Use a well-draining indoor plant mix. Adding perlite or orchid bark improves drainage and helps prevent root rot.

Fertiliser
We use what we recommend! Use Growth Technology Foliage Focus to keep your ZZ Plant thriving. Feed monthly during the growing season. Reduce feeding during winter.

Unless stated, plants are shipped in their nursery pots, as shown in the photos.

Minor blemishes or imperfections on foliage are normal and do not affect plant health. Each plant is unique, so size, colour, and shape may vary slightly.

Please choose carefully — some plants may be toxic to people or pets if ingested.
