FAQ's

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Saturday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 2 days with clear photos so we can assess your claim.

Once plants leave our care, Chalet Boutique is not responsible for how they are handled in transit.

Light: The Persian Shield will grow relatively fast in humid conditions in bright, indirect light. They will tolerate a medium amount of direct or dappled sunlight, but prolonged exposure will result in leaf burn.

Water: Keep the medium slightly moist but not wet, as they don’t like being soggy. Don’t let your plant sit in water, or they will rot. The plant will quickly droop if it doesn't receive adequate water, but it typically bounces back quickly after a drink.

Temperature: 18deg and above. Keep them away from cold drafts, air conditioning, and heating vents, as they’re cold-sensitive.

Humidity: Over 60%

Medium: Aroid Mix

Fertiliser: Feed with a liquid fertiliser in the growing months.

Tip: Pinch back the leaves to create a fuller plant. If left to grow on its own, it can get tall, leggy, and floppy.

Unless stated, plants are shipped in their nursery pots, as shown in the photos.

Minor blemishes or imperfections on foliage are normal and do not affect plant health. Each plant is unique, so size, colour, and shape may vary slightly.

Please choose carefully — some plants may be toxic to people or pets if ingested.
