FAQ's

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Saturday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 2 days with clear photos so we can assess your claim.

Light:
Medium to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can quickly scorch the delicate fronds. These ferns can tolerate lower light levels but will grow more slowly and may lose fullness in low-light spots.

Water:
Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Water when the top layer begins to feel slightly dry. Maidenhair Ferns are sensitive to drying out completely, so avoid letting them sit bone dry between waterings.

Temperature:
Ideal temperatures range between 18–24°C. They prefer stable conditions and should be kept away from cold drafts, heaters, or sudden temperature changes.

Humidity:
High humidity is essential. Aim for 60% or more, especially in dry or heated homes. Bathrooms or grouped plants can help, or use a pebble tray or humidifier for best results.

Medium:
Use a moisture-retentive yet well-draining mix. A fine-grade indoor potting mix with added perlite or coco peat works well. Avoid mixes that dry out too quickly.

Fertiliser:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser like Growth Technology Foliage Focus every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce to half-strength or pause feeding during the cooler months.

Unless stated, plants are shipped in their nursery pots, as shown in the photos.

Minor blemishes or imperfections on foliage are normal and do not affect plant health. Each plant is unique, so size, colour, and shape may vary slightly.

Please choose carefully — some plants may be toxic to people or pets if ingested.
