Description

Cymbidium JG22344 is a striking hybrid created by renowned Australian cymbidium breeder John Gate. This winter flowering selection is expected to produce large, rounded blooms in rich shades of orange to coppery red, heavily overlaid with fine spotting and intricate patterning inherited from both parents. The broad petals and sepals give the flowers a full, substantial appearance, while the lip features bold burgundy and cream markings that create strong contrast and add further detail to each bloom. As this plant matures, it has the potential to produce impressive flower spikes that make a standout display during the cooler months.

Shipping

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Sunday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

Care Guide

Cymbidium Care

Light: Bright, filtered light. Morning sun or dappled light is ideal. Protect from harsh afternoon sun.

Water: Keep evenly moist through active growth, letting the top layer of mix dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in winter but don’t allow the mix to dry out completely.

Temperature: Cool to intermediate conditions suit best, with cooler nights encouraging flower spikes.

Fertiliser: Feed regularly during growth with a balanced orchid fertiliser such as Growth Technology Orchid Focus.

Position: Use a free-draining orchid mix and provide good air movement around the leaves.
