FAQ's

Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 5pm Sunday will be sent the following week.

We ship to most of Australia via Australia Post Express.

We do not ship live plants to WA or NT due to quarantine laws. Orders from these states will be cancelled and refunded.

Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Chalet Boutique is not responsible for shipping delays, lost parcels, or damage once your order has been dispatched.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, shipping damage, or if incorrect details were provided at checkout.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 2 days with clear photos so we can assess your claim.

Once plants leave our care, Chalet Boutique is not responsible for how they are handled in transit.

Zygocactus (Christmas Cactus) Care Guide

Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can cause the segments to redden or burn. Tolerates lower light but flowering will be reduced.

Water
Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. Keep the mix lightly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering slightly once flowering finishes.

Humidity
Prefers average to higher humidity. Happy in kitchens, bathrooms, or near other plants. Occasional misting is beneficial in dry homes.

Temperature
Best grown between 15 to 24°C. Avoid sudden temperature changes and keep away from heaters or cold drafts.

Soil
Use a free draining mix. A quality indoor plant mix with added perlite or orchid bark works well. Good drainage is essential.

Feeding
Feed during active growth with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 3 to 4 weeks. Pause feeding while flowering.

Flowering tips
Bud formation is triggered by shorter days and cooler nights. Avoid moving the plant once buds appear, as this can cause them to drop.

Pet friendly
Non toxic to cats and dogs.

Unless stated, plants are shipped in their nursery pots, as shown in the photos.

Minor blemishes or imperfections on foliage are normal and do not affect plant health. Each plant is unique, so size, colour, and shape may vary slightly.

Please choose carefully — some plants may be toxic to people or pets if ingested.
