The Maranta Red Veined Prayer Plant 'Maranta Leuconeura Var. Erythroneura' is a colourful indoor plant with striking foliage of dark green, lime green with red veins. The undersides of the foliage is a dark red to purple colour. It is grown for its distinctively patterned leaves which are carried on short stems. It is called the 'Prayer Plant' because leaves tend to lay flat during the day and curl upright during the night looking like hands in prayer.

How to care for a Maranta Red Veined Prayer Plant
Humidity Between 60-80%
Light Medium indirect sunlight, keep out of the direct sun.
Watering Prefers moisture-retaining soil, Water when the top 2cm is dry. Keep moist but not too wet and don't let it completely dry out. Don't let water sit directly on the leaves or they will burn.
Notes Prefers to be pot-bound. Keep in a shallow pot due to its shallow root system.
