The colourful Dracaena Marginata Colorama has striking narrow dark green leaves with reddish-pink/purple stripes on the margins. It is also known as the Madagascar dragon tree. It’s super easy to care for, requiring bright indirect light, little watering and is quite hardy in most temperatures. As the plant grows it will naturally lose its lowest leaves and you can control the height by trimming the tops of the plant. The cane can be cut at any height and within weeks you will begin to see a new tuft of leaves growing at the cut area. It’s better for the plant's health to cut the cane during spring or early summer.
The Colorama is a gorgeous variety, in our opinion. It grows slower than the other varieties but has much more vibrant colours.
Colorama should be watered thoroughly when the soil surface is dry to touch but do not allow plants to stand in water which can cause root rot.
Remove spent leaves as required to keep your plant looking its best.
